The CENTRAL autumn school „Variation in Language Corpora“
brings together internationally renowned experts in corpus linguistics and register analysis in order to instruct students
and young researchers on the topics

• linguistic analysis of register
• register in a cross-linguistic perspective
• register in Czech and Polish
• variation in digital corpora, including register, historical and
  dialectal variation
• quantitative methods in corpus linguistics and stylometry
  (factor analysis, principal component analysis, multi-
  dimensional analysis)

Participants can apply for giving a very short (3-minute) presentation of their ongoing research in a „gong show“, to be discussed in-depth subsequently.

Participation is free of charge, but registration by 15 October 2018 is mandatory.
